    We have just released new versions of our products:

    • WoltLab Suite 5.2.9
    • WoltLab Suite 3.1.17

    Stability releases (also known as "minor releases") aim to solve existing problems in the current version. Like every stability release, they do not introduce new features; It is strongly recommended to apply these updates.

    Applying System Updates

    Open your Administration Control Panel and navigate to Configuration > Packages > List Packages. Please click on the button Search for Updates located in the right corner above the package list.

    WoltLab Suite Blog

    • Incorrect usage of certain HTML elements. 3.1 5.2
    • Introduced the new template event contentItemMetaIcons in entryMessageList. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Calendar

    • Editing an event that lasts for a full day caused an error in the date picker widget. 3.1 5.2
    • The list of unread events was incorrectly presented to guests. 5.2
    • Exporting an empty list of events failed due to an incorrect database query. 5.2
    • Editing events could delete the cover photo when PHP uses ancient MySQL database drivers. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Calendar: Event Threads

    • The number of participants did not include any participants. 3.1 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Filebase

    • It was not possible to sort the list of payments. 3.1 5.2
    • Reactions were invisible for guests regardless of the configured permissions. 5.2
    • Improved the layout of the email for notifications on new reviews. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Forum

    • The list of deleted posts and threads did not properly check for viewing permissions. 5.1 5.2
    • Editing the first post of a thread could cause the thread's attachment counter to decrement. 5.1 5.2
    • Some changes to posts and threads could cause the system to deduct activity points twice. 5.2
    • Rebuilding posts on CLI was slow for larger sites due to a hidden memory leak. 5.2

    • The download of preview images from DailyMotion did not always succeed. 3.1 5.2
    • Links to videos were sometimes incorrectly validated. 3.1 5.2
    • It was not possible to sort images of an album by filename. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Core: Conversations

    • Changing the subject of a conversation did not refresh the value in the search index. 3.1 5.2
    • The suggestions for participants will no longer list user groups that are not eligible. 5.2

    • WoltLab Burning Board 4.x, WoltLab Suite Forum 5.x
      • Exporting files from the Filebase app did not preserve the time of the last change. 5.2
    • vBulletin 5.x
      • Double quoted links are now properly recognized and rewritten. 5.2
      • Added support for the [img2=json] bbcode. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite Core

    • Improved the detection of links to Twitch clips. 3.1 5.2
    • Deleting pages and articles could leave orphaned data, this update will also remove any such remains. 3.1 5.2
    • Added the detection of the Chromium based Microsoft Edge browser. 3.1 5.2
    • Prevent changes to boxes being overwritten by an update. 3.1 5.2
    • Opening stacked dialogs could sometimes open them behind another dialog. 3.1 5.2
    • Updated the visuals for the "Sign in with Google" button to comply with their updated branding guidelines. 3.1 5.2
    • Improved the support for PayPal business accounts with multiple email addresses. 3.1 5.2
    • Excessively long usernames could sometimes overflow the message sidebar. 5.2
    • Recalculating the reactions sometimes did not refresh the cached reactions. 5.2
    • Implicit matches of mentions of user group will now be greedy, favoring longer matches. 5.2
    • Improved the implicit support of PHP 8. 5.2
    • Resolved a few issues that caused interactive elements, for example, code listings or spoiler tags, to be unresponsive after replying to messages. 5.2
    • Fixed a few issues with Safari and the WYSIWYG editor. 5.2
    • Merging users could fail under certain circumstances. 5.2

    WoltLab Suite 3.0 was released on January 11th 2017 and its guaranteed support period has ended on Feburar 28th, 2020, two years after the final release of its successor WoltLab Suite 3.1. We'll continue to provide security updates for the WoltLab Suite 3.0 series for a limited time, before dropping the support entirely.

    • End of the regular support period.
    • Updates will be released for security issues only.
    • PHP 7.4 is the last supported PHP version.

    March 1st, 2021 - Stage 2

    • End of the extended support period, there will be no more updates being released.
    • The ticket support will be limited to the WoltLab Suite 3.1 and newer products only.

    March 1st, 2022 - Stage 3

    • The downloads in the customer area will be removed.
    • The package update servers for the affected products will be shut down.
    • Any files in the Plugin-Store for these versions will be removed.
