Wir weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass es sich um eine Testversion handelt und ein erfolgreiches Upgrade nicht garantiert wird. Vor dem Upgrade raten wir dringend, ein vollständiges Backup der Installation anzufertigen. Die Durchführung des Upgrades erfolgt auf eigene Verantwortung!

Nutzung & Support

Es handelt sich um eine Testversion, die nicht für den produktiven Einsatz gedacht ist. Die Nutzung in einer Produktivumgebung erfolgt auf eigene Gefahr. You may use the apps until February 6th, 2020, if you would like to continue using this software past this date, you'll have obtain a valid product license.

Wissenswertes zur Mietlizenz

1. Was passiert mit der Installation, wenn die Mietlizenz ausläuft?

Ihre Installation bleibt unverändert lauffähig, Sie können diese weiterhin ohne Einschränkungen nutzen und Sie erhalten weiterhin Sicherheitsupdates für diese Version.

Der Zugang zu neuen Versionen und dem Ticket-Support setzt jedoch eine aktive Mietlizenz voraus, Sie können Ihre abgelaufene Mietlizenz bei Bedarf für ein weiteres Jahr verlängern.

2. Wie lange ist die Mietlizenz gültig? Handelt es sich um ein Abonnement?

Die Mietlizenz läuft für ein Jahr und kann optional um jeweils ein weiteres Jahr verlängert werden, mit Ablauf des Mietzeitraums läuft die Lizenz automatisch aus. Nur Sie entscheiden, ob Sie die Mietlizenz verlängern möchten, ein Abonnement besteht nicht.

3. Was passiert mit Bestandslizenzen und der alten Platinum-Lizenz?

The release of the new version WoltLab Suite 5.2 is somewhat around the corner and we would like to inform you about the new license type. We’ll transition from the current system of licenses obtained through a one-off payment, limited to the current version at the time of purchase, to a system of rental licenses instead.

The new rental license will run for one year, during which you will automatically receive access to any new version released, as well as assistance and technical support via our ticket system. At the end of the term, the rental license ends automatically, but can be extended at your discretion for another year at a time.

If you decide against renewing the rental license, you still retain the right to use the last version that your license has access to. Your installation remains functional without interruption, even if you do not extend the rental license. However, access to new versions and the ticket support is reserved for active rental licenses only.

In recent years, technical and legal changes have required timely and, in some cases, extensive modifications, such as the EU-GDPR, whose complexity make them unsuitable for shipment within bugfix releases due to their impact on system stability. Starting with WoltLab Suite 5.2, we’re shifting our strategy for the further development of the software: New versions will be released at shorter intervals, consisting of a more compact range of changes compared to previous releases. New features and improvements to existing features will be available much faster, and the strong focus on backward compatibility makes upgrades as easy and hassle-free as possible.

The prices listed below will become effective with the release of the stable version of WoltLab Suite 5.2, expected in December 2019.

Facts about the Rental License

1. What happens to my installation when the rental license expires?

Your installation will remain functional regardless, you can continue to use it without restrictions, and you will continue to receive security updates for this version.

However, access to new versions and ticket support requires an active rental license, but you can renew your expired rental license for another year at your discretion if necessary.

2. How Long Is the License Valid? Is It a Subscription?

The rental license is valid for one year and can optionally be renewed for another year at a time. It is entirely up to you whether you want to renew the rental license, there is no subscription.

3. What Happens to Existing Licenses and the Legacy Platinum License?

Old licenses up to and including WoltLab Suite 3.1 remain unaffected, the license terms valid at the time of purchase still apply. The conditions of the new rental licenses only apply to new licenses or licenses that have been extended to include access to this new version.

You want to present information about game servers on your site? Then the Gameserver Viewer is just right for you!

In addition to a general overview in two styles, a detailed view is available for each game server.

Gameserver Viewer

The overview shows all activated game servers in a grid or list view. In some games it is possible to connect directly to the game server via a button.

Furthermore, the game servers have a detailed view. In this example, a list of players is displayed, if there are players on the game server.

All game servers are entered in the ACP. The games are already predefined and only have to be selected when registering.

For better orientation in the ACP, each game server can be assigned an individual name. If this is not entered, only the IP address and the port will be displayed.

Optional: If a query port exists for the game server, which is not specified by default by the game, a separate query port can be entered.

All game servers can be moved in the ACP via drag & drop.

Integrated cache function

So that your page is not constantly burdened with the server requests to the game servers, we use the cache system of the WSC.

The data is stored for the update interval set in the ACP.

Teamspeak³ Viewer

With this plugin you get a Teamspeak³-Viewer.

By that it is possible to show various server informations as well as the current clients in your WSC.

Possible settings

In the ACP you can customize the Teamspeak³ Viewer according to your wishes.

Under Configuration - Options - Teamspeak Viewer you can define the update interval, but also show or fade out certain contents.

This allows you to fade out the server password or the welcome message. If a server password is deposited, but you do not want this to be publicly visible, then it is "not public" at this point.

The existing "Connect now" button can also be fade out. Incidentally, this also contains the stored server password, which also disappears if you fade out if you do not want the password publicly accessible.

Under User - User groups - Edit user groups - General Permissions - Teamspeak Viewer you are allowed to decide which user groups can see the Teamspeak³ Viewer and which not.

Welcome message

The server-side welcome message can also be shown.

On the part of Teamspeak texts can be extended with BBCodes, which is why we convert them into HTML.

Currently the following BBCodes are converted: [b], [i], [u], [url=] and [url].

You get the opportunity to deposit for each day any number of surprises, whose assignment you can influence with the help of integrated priority system with this extension. You can specify for each entry whose priority, in which case the higher one entry is prioritized, the lower the probability that a user will receive this surprise. In combination with the limitation system can be for example higher quality surprises distribute, where the allocation to each individual user of the Advent calendar is not provided.

Can I see who has when each door opened? If yes, where?

Anpassung der Versionsnummern

Die Forum App nutzte aus historischen Gründen eine höhere Versionsnummer, wodurch es zu einigen Unklarheiten kam. Ab dieser Version laufen alle Produkte unter der einheitlichen Versionsnummer 5.2.
